Ecological Forest Kindergarten

The Ecological Forest Kindegarten is inspired by the concept of forest kindergartens, Sudbury schools and the unschooling method.

It is based on three main values: nature, child’s freedom and the ecological transition.

The Kindergarten welcomes children from 2.5 to 8 years, opens Monday to Friday from 7:30am till noon (from Sept. 2020 until 3pm). Children spend their time playing, exploring and learning outdoors in a forest or other natural area. An wooden wagon is available to take a nap, rest and warm up. It’s open all year around, except in extreme weather conditions. In this case, there is the possibility of shelter in the wagon or in a house close-by. On a daily basis, the group is composed of 16 children and 4 adults forming the teachers’ team. Children and adults dress according to the weather, with waterproof and warm clothing.
